Week two of the 2025 Wednesday Night Sailing Series, hosted by the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club (RHADC) in the picturesque Hamilton Harbour, delivered a thrilling night of racing that saw two boats share the top spot.
Crossfire was the first vessel to cross the finish line on the night, clocking a raw time of 46 minutes and 20 seconds. After the application of corrected times, Crossfire's final time of 51 minutes and 6 seconds resulted in a tie for first place.
Passion was the third boat to cross the line, recording a raw time of 54 minutes. However, their corrected time also came out to be 51 minutes and 6 seconds, meaning they shared the victory with Crossfire in a close fought battle on the water.
Nasty Medicine, the second boat to cross the finish line with a time of 47 minutes and 21 seconds, saw their corrected time settle at 51 minutes and 56 seconds, placing them fourth overall on the night.
Rounding out the top three was Back in Black, who finished with a corrected time of 51 minutes and 35 seconds. Scatteraction completed the top five finishers for the second week of the series, recording a corrected time of 50 minutes and 9 seconds.
The second week of the Wednesday Night Sailing Series provided another evening of competitive racing in Hamilton Harbour, with the dead heat for first place highlighting the tight margins and the importance of corrected times in these popular midweek events.
