Conor White played a supporting role for his MUC-OFF-SRCT-STORCK team in a demanding PNE National B Road Race, which saw his teammate Edward Morgan emerge victorious. The event also held the distinction of being the South and South West Senior Open Regional Road Race Championships.
The challenging race unfolded over 10 and a half laps of a testing 12.9-kilometre circuit around Owslebury in Hampshire, accumulating a total distance of approximately 130 kilometres. The course was characterised by its undulating terrain, featuring a significant climb close to the finish line that ultimately proved decisive in shaping the outcome of the race.
While White himself finished further down the field in 27th position, his teammate Edward Morgan demonstrated impressive strength and tactical awareness. Morgan launched a decisive attack in the finalé, breaking away from Josh Housley (Primera-TeamJobs) to clinch the win. This victory marked MUC-OFF-SRCT-STORCK's sixth road race triumph of the season, highlighting their strong team performance. Danylo Riwnyj (Foran CT) completed the podium, finishing in third place.
The attritional nature of the course and the relentless pace took its toll on the riders, with the decisive climb near the finish providing the platform for Morgan's winning move. White's presence in the peloton will have undoubtedly contributed to the team's overall strategy, even if he wasn't in contention for the top spots himself. The race served as a stern test for all involved, with Morgan's victory a testament to his endurance and finishing power.
