Comet Class Season Begins with Frith Regatta
The 2025 Comet Class season got underway in the picturesque St. George's Harbor. The opening event, the Allan Frith Regatta, saw a strong start from the defending 2024 Fleet and Winter Series Champions, Maxwell Curtis and Wesley Tucker.
Curtis and Tucker showcased their skill and consistency, winning three out of the four races held. Their dominant performance secured them the victory with a low score of 3 points.
The competition was fierce, with Stephen Dickinson and Heath Foggo putting up a strong challenge. They won the first race of the day and the season, ultimately finishing second overall with 6 points.
Alan Frith and Sarah Frith demonstrated their competitiveness, securing third place with 7 points.
The Allan Frith Regatta marks an exciting start to the Comet Class season, setting the stage for more competitive sailing in St. George's Harbor.

Tulane Seventh in Thompson Trophy
Christian Ebbin and his Tulane University sailing teammates concluded their regular season campaign at the Thompson Trophy Team Race in New London, Connecticut.
The final day of the competition saw challenging sailing conditions, with a brisk northerly wind ranging from 6 to 25 knots and strong currents.
After a tough battle on the water, Tulane University finished seventh in the eight-team field.
Tulane's team, with skippers Hamilton Barclay, Gabriela Vassel, Ebbin, Ava Anderson, Kelly Holthus, and Sammie Gardner, and crews CJ Ricci and Essie Clifton, recorded an 8-13 record over the two days. Their performance included two wins against Tufts University and one win each against Roger Williams University and the Coast Guard Academy.
Harvard University emerged as the overall winners of the Thompson Trophy Team Race, demonstrating their dominance with an impressive record of 18-3.
