Christian Ebbin and his Tulane University Sailing teammates have emerged victorious at the South East Interscholastic Sailing Association (SEISA) Open Fleet Race Championships. The championships were decided after just one day of racing, as adverse weather conditions forced the cancellation of Day Two.
A total of seven schools competed on the waters of Lake Pontchartrain in southeastern Louisiana, making for a competitive field.
Ebbin's performance in the Tulane B Class boat was instrumental in their win. He finished the regatta with a low score of 6 points, matching the score of the Tulane A Class boat. This resulted in a combined team score of 12 points.
This impressive result secures Tulane University's qualification for both the Team and Fleet racing Nationals, a significant achievement for the sailing program.
The Tulane team's victory at the SEISA Open Fleet Race Championships demonstrates their skill and consistency in fleet racing. Ebbin's contribution to this success further highlights his talent and importance to the team.
