Bermuda provided an early shock, taking a 1-0 lead in the 4th minute through a goal from Janiya Sealey 25 yard free kick. However, Costa Rica quickly responded, with Lucía Paniagua converting a penalty in the 11th minute to level the score at 1-1.
Costa Rica then took control of the game. Daniela Ocampo put Costa Rica ahead in the 20th minute, and Tiara Ruiz extended their lead to 3-1 in the 28th minute. Nubia Medina added a fourth goal for Costa Rica in the 30th minute, and an own goal in stoppage time saw Costa Rica take a commanding 5-1 lead into halftime.
Costa Rica continued their strong performance in the second half. Ocampo scored her second goal in the 48th minute, making it 6-1, and Medina also completed her brace in the 52nd minute, pushing the score to 7-1. Medina then completed her hat-trick in the 72nd minute, extending Costa Rica's lead to 8-1. In stoppage time, Maria Murillo scored a ninth goal for Costa Rica, finalizing the scoreline at 9-1.
Despite Bermuda's early goal, Costa Rica's dominant performance ultimately secured them the victory. The match marked the end of Bermuda's participation in the Final Round of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s Under 17 Qualifiers.
