In May 2024 on the Island of Bermuda, a new powerhouse in cricket development had begun with the launch of FrayStar Cricket Institute Ltd., an elite training Institute dedicated to nurturing Bermuda’s next generation of cricketing talent. With an exceptional coaching staff and a commitment to excellence, FrayStar is poised to transform the local cricket landscape.
At the helm is Terry Fray, a respected former Regimental Sergeant Major and the visionary behind the institute. He is joined by an impressive lineup of coaches and mentors, including Gus Logie, an internationally renowned coach, as well as Arnold and Andre Manders, stalwarts of the Bermudian cricket scene. Sammy Robinson and Coolridge Durham, past national cricket stars, bring their experience to the academy, while the promising young talents Marcus Scotland and Jarryd Richardson stand as examples of the bright future FrayStar aims to create.
Adding to this esteemed roster is Terryn Fray, son of Terry Fray and one of the most respected cricketers in Bermuda today. His leadership on the field speaks for itself - in 2024 alone, he captained his team to five championship victories, showcasing the winning mentality that FrayStar aims to instill in all its players.
We must also acknowledge and extend our deepest appreciation to the dedicated individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the seamless operation of this program - Debra James - administrator, Neil Speight - Director of Bridgeway Education, and Zeco Harris - coaches' assistant. Their invaluable contributions, organization, and unwavering support play a crucial role in the program’s success, and we are truly grateful for their efforts.
