Horsfield & Arnold Reign Supreme in Mountain Bike Championships

Southlands Park was the setting for the Bermuda Bicycle Association's Mountain Bike National Championships, a thrilling day of off-road cycling that saw champions crowned across various divisions. Following on from the archery championships, the event showcased the diversity of sporting talent in Bermuda.

The championships drew a field of determined riders, but some familiar names rose to the top.

Robin Horsfield successfully defended his Men's Open title, demonstrating his strength and technical skill on the challenging course. Horsfield clocked a winning time of 1 hour, 2 minutes, and 20 seconds. Conor White finished second in 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 37 seconds, while Che'quan Richardson crossed the line third in 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 10 seconds.

In the Women's Open Division, Gabriella Arnold claimed the title with a time of 46 minutes and 33 seconds. Florence Pedro finished second, completing the course one lap down in 58 minutes and 48 seconds.

The championships also celebrated success in other categories:
Women Masters: Arlene MacGuinness (48:13)
Men - Junior: Dylan Eiselt (41:36)
Women - Junior: Charlotte Millington (36:31)
Men - Masters: James Holloway (1:07:34)
N/C 13-16: Jonah MacGuinness
M/C 8-12: Alfie Jansma

The Bermuda Bicycle Association's Mountain Bike National Championships provided a platform for riders of all ages and abilities to test their skills and compete for national honours. The event highlighted the growing popularity and competitive nature of mountain biking in Bermuda.
