IslandStats.com
Christian Ebbin and his Tulane University sailing teammates traveled to the northeast to compete in the Marchiando Trophy Team Race, held in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event tested the sailors' skills in challenging early spring conditions.

The Charles River Basin presented a demanding setting for the regatta. Sailors faced windy and cold conditions, with 7-18 knot winds from the East-Northeast and intermittent rain showers throughout the day.

The Marchiando Trophy Team Race was a grueling event, with a total of 100 races sailed between the Marchiando Red and Grey events. This intense schedule kept the sailors busy throughout the 7-hour racing window. The event's success was facilitated by a dedicated umpire team, who ensured the smooth running of the regatta with minimal breaks.

Christian Ebbin and his Tulane teammates showcased their abilities, ultimately finishing in 4th place with an overall record of 11 wins and 10 losses. While not a podium finish, their performance demonstrated their competitiveness in a challenging regatta.

Boston College emerged as the champions, dominating the competition with a record of 18 wins and 3 losses. Roger Williams University finished second with a record of 15 wins and 6 losses, and Stanford University secured third place with a record of 12 wins and 9 losses.

The Marchiando Trophy Team Race provided a tough test for the sailors, with the conditions adding an extra layer of difficulty. Ebbin and his Tulane teammates gained valuable experience competing against strong opposition in a high-pressure environment.
