Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Men's Tennis teammates continued their impressive form, extending their winning streak to four matches with a dominant 5-2 victory over Drexel at the UNCW Courts.
The Seahawks delivered another strong performance on their home court, showcasing their depth and talent against a determined Drexel side. Mallory played a significant role in the team's success, contributing to both the doubles and singles action.
In the doubles competition, Mallory partnered with Alex de Gabriele in the #1 spot. Despite a hard-fought effort, they were narrowly defeated by Roman Lafond and Alex De Sousa in a close match that ended 7-6.
However, Mallory bounced back strongly in the singles competition. Playing at the number 3 singles spot, he faced a tough challenge but demonstrated his resilience and determination. After dropping the first set, Mallory mounted an impressive comeback, ultimately defeating de Gabriele 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. This come-from-behind victory proved crucial in UNCW's overall triumph.
