Christian Ebbin and his Tulane Sailing teammates have made a strong start to the Aaron Szambecki Team Race, hosted by Old Dominion University. The competition, featuring 420/FJ boats, has drawn a competitive field, and Tulane has positioned itself as a top contender after the first day of racing.
Following ten races on Day One, Ebbin and his teammates have secured an impressive second-place standing with a record of 8 wins and 2 losses. This strong performance highlights their teamwork, skill, and strategic prowess on the water. In Round 1, Tulane demonstrated their dominance by defeating a series of formidable opponents. They secured victories against Georgetown University, Stanford University, Boston College, Dartmouth College, the University of Miami, Old Dominion University, Fordham University, and George Washington University. Their only defeat in this round came against Navy.
Following their strong showing in Round 1, Ebbin and his teammates progressed to the top six category. Here, they faced heightened competition and experienced their second defeat of the day, losing to Boston College.
