The Bermuda Football Association's First Division season is drawing to a close, with the promotion picture now finalized, but the battle for final positions still raging.
Robin Hood Edge Closer to Third Place
With the promotion race concluded, attention has turned to the fight for third place. Robin Hood and Somerset Trojans are locked in a tense battle, and Saturday's clash at the Somerset Cricket Club proved pivotal.
Robin Hood emerged victorious, edging out the Trojans to move onto 20 points with just one game remaining. The Trojans, meanwhile, remain on 17 points with two games left to play. One of those games, against St. David's, will be decided by the BFA after the original fixture was abandoned due to a lack of security.
The outcome of the remaining fixtures will determine who secures the coveted third spot, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the final stages of the season.
Simons Leads Golden Boot Race
The race for the First Division Golden Boot is also nearing its conclusion, with X-Roads' Paul Simons leading the way with an impressive 19 goals. His nearest challenger is teammate Donavan Thompson, who has netted 11 goals.
St. David's Keishen Bean is also in contention with 10 goals. Nathan Rego (Somerset Eagles), Jevon Swan (X-Roads), and Tahj Wade (Somerset Trojans) are all tied on 9 goals, adding further excitement to the final few games.
