The loss sees the Seahawks' season record drop to 3-6, with the team facing a challenging run of five consecutive matches against ranked opposition. South Florida, meanwhile, continued their impressive form, improving their record to 10-3.
The doubles action saw Mallory and his partner, Harold Huens, compete in the No. 3 spot. They faced a tough challenge against South Florida's Hugo Car and Agustin Cuellar, ultimately falling 6-4.
In the singles, Mallory took to the court in the No. 6 position, facing Llanes. The match proved to be a tightly contested affair, going to three sets. Despite a valiant effort, Mallory was ultimately defeated 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
