Melville, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted a formidable total of 260/4 from their allotted 50 overs. Teresa Graves led the charge with an impressive unbeaten century, scoring 119 not out. Rebecca West was the pick of the South Perth bowlers, taking 2 wickets for 70 runs from her 10 overs. Ray bowled a steady spell of 10 overs, conceding 45 runs without taking a wicket.
In reply, South Perth struggled to match Melville's imposing total and were eventually bowled out for 161. Matilda Richings top-scored with a valiant 47.
