Bermuda's Under-14 Boys' Tennis team had a bye today as the Group Stage of the WJT North Central America & Caribbean Pre-Qualifying Tournament in the Dominican Republic concluded.
The results of other matches in Group A determined Bermuda's final standing. With Trinidad and Tobago defeating The Bahamas 3-0, Bermuda finished second in the group with one point. While they won two games, they also lost four.
Despite this, Bermuda has advanced to play for places 1-8 in the tournament. This is a significant achievement, as the winner of the competition earns the opportunity to progress to the next phase of the prestigious World Junior Tennis Championships.
Bermuda's young tennis players will now have the chance to compete against the top teams in the tournament for a chance to move closer to their World Junior Tennis Championships goal.
