Jiménez Scores as Hibs Under 18's Dominate Leeds United

IslandStats.com
Logan Jiménez played a key role as his Hibernian Under-18 teammates delivered a commanding performance, securing a resounding 4 - 0 victory over Leeds United.

The match provided valuable experience for the young Hibs squad, who travelled to England to face a strong Leeds United side. Darren McGregor's youngsters rose to the challenge, demonstrating their quality and resilience throughout the game.

Hibs started brightly, carrying their confident form from the U18 CAS Elite League into this encounter. They opened the scoring just after the 20-minute mark when Josh McDonald made a surging run from midfield, rounded the goalkeeper, and calmly slotted the ball home.

Five minutes later, Jiménez doubled Hibs' lead, rising highest to power a header into the net from a corner kick.

The Hibs youngsters continued to create chances and found a third goal just before half-time. Dean Cleland won possession and played a perfectly weighted through ball to McDonald, who once again finished with composure.

Leeds United struggled to cope with Hibs' energy and high pressing in the second half. With 15 minutes remaining, Hibs added a fourth goal when Jamie McMurdo broke through the Leeds defence and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.

This impressive victory highlights the potential of this young Hibs squad and the positive impact Jiminez is making within the team.
