Bermuda's Junior Tennis team concluded their Group C campaign at the BJKCJ DCJ North/Central America & Caribbean Pre-Qualifying Junior Davis Cup in Guatemala City with a 3-0 defeat to Honduras.
Tristan Pettit faced a tough challenge in the opening singles match, falling to Eduardo Matute in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Tobiah Goodchild then took to the court, battling hard against Mario Rivera. Goodchild started strongly, taking the first set 7-6, but Rivera fought back to level the match by winning the second set 6-2. Rivera then carried his momentum into the deciding set, winning 6-2 to secure the victory.
In the doubles match, Pettit and Jadon Spriggs teamed up to face Alejandro Matuty and Mario Rivera. Despite their best efforts, the Bermudian duo lost in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
While Bermuda finishes the group stage without a win, the young team gained valuable experience competing against strong international opponents. Their participation in this tournament will serve as a stepping stone for their future development in tennis.
