Sancho Smith and his Clayton State University Men's Track & Field teammates secured a fifth-place finish at the Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The team accumulated a total of 33 points in a competitive field, with Embry-Riddle claiming victory in both the men's and women's championships.
Smith competed in the Men's 800m run, finishing 11th with a time of 1:57.45. He also played a crucial role in Clayton State's strong performance in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR). The team, comprising Nehemiah Horton, Smith, Camron Gaddis, and Mykell Strickland, secured a podium finish, taking third place with a time of 10:33.88.
Despite not claiming the top spot, Clayton State's performance at the Peach Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships demonstrates their competitive spirit and potential for future success.
