The Bermuda Select Invitational kicked off at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium with a match between the Bermuda Select team and the visiting Portland Hearts of Pine. Despite a strong first-half showing, the Bermuda Select ultimately fell to a 2-0 defeat.

The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams creating chances but unable to break the deadlock. The Bermuda Select defended resolutely, frustrating the Portland attack and keeping the score level at the break.
However, the second half saw Portland increase the pressure, and their efforts were rewarded in the 79th minute when Titus Washington found the back of the net to give them the lead. Just six minutes later, Jake Keegan doubled Portland's advantage, securing a 2-0 victory for the visitors.
Despite the loss, the Bermuda Select showed promising signs, particularly in the first half. They will look to build on this performance and aim for a positive result in their next match of the Bermuda Select Invitational.
