CONCACAF has released the match schedule for the 2025 Gold Cup Prelims, with Bermuda set to face a tough challenge against Honduras. The matches will take place during the FIFA Match Window in March 2025.
Fourteen nations, including Bermuda, will compete in the Prelims for the final seven spots in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group Stage. These teams earned their places in the Prelims following their performances in the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League.
The matchups were determined by the Concacaf Rankings (as of November 20, 2024), with the highest-ranked team facing the lowest-ranked. Bermuda, seeded 12th, will face third-seeded Honduras in a home-and-away series.
The first leg will be played at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center in Bermuda on Friday, March 21st. The return leg will take place at the Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Tuesday, March 25th.
The winner of this crucial tie will secure their place in the Group Stage of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
The 18th edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup itself will be held this summer, from June 14 to July 6, across 14 stadiums in 11 metropolitan areas in the United States and Canada. Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament. Nine nations have already qualified: Canada, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Saudi Arabia (as a guest team), and the United States.
