The St. George's Colts secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wolves in their Premier Division clash at the Devonshire Recreation Club. A late winner from Blaiz Hall sealed the points for the Colts in a dramatic encounter.
The game started brightly, with Senoj Mitchell giving the St. George's Colts the lead in the 14th minute. However, Wolves responded quickly, levelling the score just two minutes later through Jarred Douglas. The two teams went into the half-time break locked at 1-1.
The second half proved to be a tense affair, with both sides searching for the decisive goal. It looked as though the match was heading for a draw, but in the 89th minute, Blaiz Hall pounced on a loose ball after the Wolves goalkeeper mishandled a shot, slotting home the winner for the St. George's Colts.
The win moves the St. George's Colts up to 23 points from 14 games, placing them fifth in the league table. For Wolves, the defeat leaves them on eight points from 14 matches, rooted in 10th position.
