The Eastern Interscholastic Swimming Championships concluded at the Kunkel Aquatic Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with Thomas, Joey, and Gabby Cechini contributing to Mercersburg Academy's championship victory. The Warwick Academy team finished a respectable 26th overall.
Gabby Cechini finished eighth in the Women’s 500 Yard Freestyle B Final (5:20.35), while Jorgia White set a new personal best time of 5:25.91 to finish fifth in the C Final.
Thomas Cechini clocked 4:34.97 in the Men’s 500 Yard Freestyle A Final, securing a fifth-place finish.
The Warwick Academy team of Gabby Esposito, Sofia Leclerc, Jorgia White, and Elanna Fulton won the Women’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay C Final in 3:55.65.
Thomas Cechini swam the second leg for the Mercersburg Academy Men’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team, which finished second in the A Final with a time of 3:00.57.
In the Men’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay C Final of the same event, the Warwick Academy team of Logan Jones, Zachary Johnson, Axel Wernbo, and Jamie MacFarlane finished second in 3:28.89.
