Daniel Phillips and his No. 24 ranked Arizona State University (ASU) Men's Tennis teammates fell just short against Utah, who claimed a 4 - 3 victory in ASU's first Big 12 Conference match of the season.
Despite ASU failing to secure the doubles point, Phillips and Tanner Povey continued their impressive form, recording a dominant 6-2 win against Utah's Emmett Potter and Max Relic at the second position. This victory extends their unbeaten streak as a pair to 6-0 on the year.
In singles play, Phillips faced a tough challenge against Reid Jarvis. After losing the first set 6-3, Phillips fought back to win a closely contested second set 7-6. However, Jarvis proved too strong in the decider, taking the third set 6-2 and securing the match victory.
