The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the Under-15 school select team that will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to compete in the President’s Youth National Cup.
The team will play four 40-over matches between Friday, February 14th, and Monday, February 17th.
Head Coach Courtney Trott will lead the side, assisted by Davon Govia and Lorin Tannock. The Bermuda squad will be bolstered by the addition of three players from the USA.
The Bermuda Under 15 School Select team will consist of the following members:
- Zaki Gibbons-DeShields - Kodi Hinds - Ethan Adderley - Quincy Ratteray - Kruz Iris - A’Jhi Smith - Romari Ruddock -Fletcher Logie - Zion Smith Joell - 3 Players from the USA - Courtney Trott – Head Coach - BCB Youth (School) Development Officer - Davon Govia – Assistant Coach – Cedar Bridge Academy - Lorin Tannock – Assistant Coach – Saltus Grammar School
Calvin Blankendal, Executive Director of the BCB, expressed his gratitude to parents, coaches, players, and participating schools. He highlighted the partnership with the Department of Sport & Recreation, emphasizing their shared commitment to promoting cricket in schools and community clubs. Blankendal stated the aim is to make this tour an annual fixture on the youth and school cricketing calendar, recognizing the importance of the Under-15 age group in developing future talent for the Under-19 national team and domestic leagues.
