In a one-sided affair at Bernard’s Park, Phoenix Heat dismantled St. George’s Lady Colts 49-11 in Bermuda Netball Association Senior League action.
Phoenix Heat asserted their dominance early on, with K'Xiyae Gibbons leading the charge, netting an impressive 25 goals. Best Attacker Eshé Grant contributed a further 18 goals, while Kammie Mills added 6 to complete the rout.
The Lady Colts struggled to contain the relentless Phoenix attack, with Nicole Smith scoring 6 goals and Kristin Holman adding 5. Despite the defeat, St. George’s had some bright spots, with Hailey Smith named Best Attacker and Jasmine Adams earning the Best Defender award. Sarafina Woolridge-Burns was recognized as the team’s MVP.
Phoenix Heat’s Uni Simmons was named the Best Defender, while Asante Chapman took home the MVP award for her influential performance.
The victory solidifies Phoenix Heat’s position in the league, while St. George’s Lady Colts will look to bounce back from this disappointing result.
