David Bascome's Baltimore Blast suffered a 8 - 3 defeat on the road against Utica City FC. Bascome led his team into the match holding second place in the Major Arena Soccer League standings, but they were unable to overcome a strong Utica City FC performance.
The Blast took an early lead in the first period, with Wellington Bramusse scoring the only goal of the period. However, Utica City FC responded strongly in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals through Mehrshad Ahmadi, Keaton Woods, and Sergio Pinal to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
The third period was a quieter affair, with the Baltimore Blast scoring the only goal. Chad Poarch found the net to reduce the deficit to one goal.
However, Utica City FC took control in the fourth period, scoring five goals while limiting the Blast to just one. Two goals from Kelvin Oliveira, and single strikes from Nilton de Andrade and Ahmadi sealed the win for Utica City FC. Bruno Henrique scored the lone goal for the Baltimore Blast in the final period.
