The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) has unveiled its 2025 All-CIAA preseason Women's Tennis team, with Virginia State University (VSU) making a strong showing with three players named to the prestigious list, including Alexcie Burrows.
Burrows' inclusion in the preseason team underscores her talent and potential for the upcoming season. The announcement comes as the CIAA also released its 2025 Women's Tennis Predicted Order of Finish, which sees Burrows and her VSU teammates tipped for a third-place finish. This preseason ranking suggests that VSU is expected to be a strong contender in the conference this year.
Burrows was named to the 2024 All-CIAA Women's Tennis Team following a standout season for Virginia State University.
Burrows enjoyed a highly successful campaign, posting an impressive 13-4 record in Singles play. She primarily competed at the number five position, but also demonstrated her versatility with six appearances at number four.
In Doubles competition, Burrows continued to shine, compiling a 10-6 record while playing between the number Two and Three Doubles spots. Her contributions across both Singles and Doubles proved invaluable to her team, culminating in this well-deserved recognition from the CIAA.
