The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association's 2025 Junior Doubles Tournament concluded at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium, with divisional champions crowned after several days of exciting competition.
Tobiah Goodchild and Zachary Mcguire emerged as the Under-18 Boys Doubles champions. In the Under-14 Boys Doubles, the title went to Manuel Maldonado and Riley Maybury.
Tristan Pettit and Nadhira Durham claimed the Under-18 Mixed Doubles crown, while Trystan Thompson and Chloe Mcbrearty took home the Under-14 Mixed Doubles title.
On the final day of play, Thompson and Mcbrearty secured their championship with a straight-sets victory (6-4, 6-4) over Riley Maybury and Terceira Lee in the Under-14 Mixed Doubles.
In Under-14 Boys Doubles action, Cayden Lee and Trystan Thompson defeated Archer Green and Shane Reardon 6-3, 6-1. Maldonado and Maybury then added another straight-sets win, defeating Green and Reardon 6-0, 6-0.
The Under-18 Mixed Doubles final provided a thrilling three-set battle, with Pettit and Durham eventually prevailing over Goodchild and Mcbrearty 7-6, 2-6, 13-11.
BLTA Winter League: Lambert Island and Temple of Tennis Secure Wins
Action continued in the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) 2025 Winter League, with notable results in both the Ladies' and Men's Divisions.
In Ladies' League play, Lambert Island Tennis secured a convincing 9-3 victory over the All Bermuda Tennis Club. Temple of Tennis also enjoyed a dominant performance, defeating the Coral Beach Tennis Club 12-0.
The Men's Winter League saw Pomander Gate A cruise to a 9-0 win over their clubmates, Pomander Gate B. Temple Of Tennis continued their winning ways, defeating Lambert Island Tennis 7-2.
