The Bermuda Golf Association's 2025 season teed off in style with the Bermuda Four-Ball Championships at Port Royal Golf Course. This year's event holds extra significance as it marks the BGA's 75th Anniversary Celebrations.
After the first round, Jevon Roberts and Oliver Betschart lead the Men's Championship with an impressive 4-under par 67. They hold a two-stroke advantage over James Godwin and Christopher Ford, who carded a 2-under par. Roderick Forrest and Kirk Viehl are a further stroke behind in third place.
In the Ladies' Championship, defending champions Ann Symonds and Tracy Burgess have taken a commanding lead. Their 1-over par 72 gives them a six-stroke cushion over Katrin Burnie and Linda Down, who shot a 7-over par 78. Elizabeth Carpio and Lesley Balcombe are in third place after a 9-over par 80.
The Senior Men's Championship sees a tie at the top of the leaderboard. Sheldon Chychrun and Arthur Jones, along with Mark Ray and Michael Wells, both carded 3-over par 74s. Paul Cann and Michael Hamilton are three strokes behind the joint leaders in third position. The championships promise an exciting finish as players battle for top spot in their respective divisions.
