The Boulevard Blazers have moved to within touching distance of top spot in the Bermuda Football Association First Division after a 2-0 victory over Vaso at the BAA Field.
Both goals came in the first half, with Shaquille Dill opening the scoring for the Blazers after just 13 minutes. An own goal in the 34th minute then doubled their advantage, giving Boulevard a comfortable 2-0 lead going into the break.
Despite both teams' best efforts, the second half remained goalless, leaving the final score at 2-0. The win sees the Boulevard Blazers reach 21 points from 12 matches, trailing league leaders X-Roads by just a single point, although X-Roads have two games in hand. The title race looks set for an exciting finish.
In other news, the Bermuda Football Association has announced the postponement of the First Division match between St. David's and the Somerset Trojans, originally scheduled for Sunday, February 2nd, 2025. The decision was made due to a shortage of match officials. The game will be rescheduled for a later date, with details to be announced in due course.
