Middle-distance runner Shayla Cann impressed at the Liberty University Brant Tolsma Invitational, setting a New Personal Best and securing a top-ten performance in Elon University's Record Books.
Cann, a sophomore at Elon, finished second in the Women's 800m with a time of 2:13.66. This impressive performance not only set a new personal best for Cann but also ranks seventh in Elon's all-time indoor track and field records. Her time also places her fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) this year.
Cann's performance contributed to a successful meet for Elon, who recorded 11 Personal Bests and four all-time top-ten performances on the final day of competition.
This strong showing bodes well for Cann and her Elon teammates as they continue their indoor track season. With her impressive 800m time, Cann will be one to watch in the upcoming CAA Championships.
