The opening game of the night provided a thrilling spectacle, with Appleby edging out BDA Spirits 4-3 after a penalty shootout.
Appleby took an early lead through Chris Merritt in the first period. Nathan Ische then scored twice in the second period to give Appleby a commanding 3-0 lead. However, BDA Spirits staged a remarkable comeback in the final period, with goals from Jeff Loper, Chris Lemieux, and Brett Sherriffs levelling the score and forcing a shootout.
In the shootout, Merritt proved to be the hero for Appleby, scoring the decisive goal to secure the victory.

The second game of the night saw ACT dominate proceedings with an 11-1 win over Frontier.
ACT scored six unanswered goals to take control of the match. Mike Travis, Jake Fenske, John King, and Ian Beaudoin each scored twice for ACT, while Satish Balendran, Theo Caimassidis, and Townie Jackson also found the back of the net.
John Duda scored the lone goal for Frontier, who struggled to contain ACT's relentless attack.
