Ebbin & Bellbridge Fall Short Against Star-Studded Deer Park

IslandStats.com
Deer Park Won by 8 Wickets

Bellbridge 99 Deer Park 100/2

Amari Ebbin and his Bellbridge Cricket Club teammates suffered an 8-wicket defeat against a strong Deer Park side in a Victorian Turf Cricket Association T20 match at John McLeod Reserve Park.

Deer Park boasted a lineup featuring several international cricketers, including Sri Lanka's Upul Bandara, Australian Big Bash player Aaron Ayre, and Pakistani-Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed.

Bellbridge won the toss and elected to bat, but struggled to build a substantial total, finishing on 99 all out. Christopher Armstrong top-scored with 42, while Ebbin contributed 8 runs off 11 deliveries, including two boundaries. Aaron Shellie was the pick of the Deer Park bowlers, claiming impressive figures of 3 for 8 from his two overs.

In reply, Deer Park made light work of the chase, reaching 100/2 in just 13.1 overs. Shellie continued his fine all-round performance with an unbeaten 52, guiding his team to victory. Andrew Wilks was the most successful Bellbridge bowler, taking 1 for 8 from his two overs.

Facing a team with such high-profile international experience proved a challenging task for Bellbridge. Despite the loss, Ebbin and his teammates will gain valuable experience from competing against top-level cricketers. They will be looking to bounce back in their next match and continue their T20 campaign with renewed determination.
