Just before half-time, Marco Basden restored Somerset Eagles' lead, ensuring they went into the break with a 2-1 advantage.
Rego then doubled his tally in the 63rd minute, extending the Eagles' lead to 3-1. Despite a late surge from Vasco, who pulled a goal back through Kevin Arruda in the 89th minute, Somerset Eagles held on to secure a valuable victory.

A dramatic late goal denied bottom-of-the-table Wolves a crucial victory as they drew 2-2 with Young Men Social Club in a fiery First Division clash at the Police Field.
Despite a goalless first half, the match exploded into life after the break. Josh Hardtman gave Young Men Social Club the lead in the 53rd minute, but Wolves responded swiftly through Torque Outerbridge just nine minutes later.
Antinori Butterfield then put Wolves ahead with a superb free-kick in the 65th minute, raising hopes of a much-needed win. However, the game took another dramatic turn as both sides were reduced to ten men. Young Men Social Club's Saki Tuzo, who had only entered the field in the 57th minute, was dismissed in the 75th minute. In the 90th minute, a fracas saw Wolves' Jermiah Steede and Young Men Social Club goalkeeper Ryan Evans both receive their marching orders.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Young Men Social Club refused to surrender. In a dramatic finish, Trey Tucker snatched an equalizer in stoppage time, ensuring the points were shared.
North Village Rams 2 St. George’s Colts 3
St. George's Colts gatecrashed the reopening of Bernard's Park with a thrilling 3-2 victory over second-placed North Village Rams, climbing to fifth in the Premier Division standings.
The Colts were quick to silence the home crowd, taking the lead in the 23rd minute through Kashe Hall's strike. Riley Robinson doubled their advantage in the 36th minute, giving St. George's a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into the break.
However, the Rams came out fighting in the second half. Terryn Fray pulled a goal back in the 70th minute, injecting new life into the contest. The momentum seemed to swing further in favor of the Rams when Z'Dao Dill levelled the score in the 83rd minute.
Just as it looked like North Village would complete the comeback, St. George's Colts delivered a sucker punch. Senoj Mitchell found the back of the net in the 86th minute, restoring their lead and ultimately securing a famous victory.
