Bermudian tennis ace Daniel Phillips enjoyed a successful start to the Sun Devil Preseason Invitational, leading Arizona State to a strong opening day at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Phillips showcased his talent and determination, going undefeated in both Singles and Doubles action.
In a thrilling three-set encounter, Phillips edged past Texas A&M's Lathan Skrobarcek 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. The Bermudian demonstrated his resilience and fighting spirit, bouncing back from a second-set setback to secure victory in the decider.
Phillips then teamed up with Mathis Bondaz for the Doubles competition, where they faced another Texas A&M pairing, Ritesh Patil and Lathan Skrobarcek. The Arizona State duo combined effectively to secure a 6-4 win.
