Samuels Advances to World Cup Round of 32

Update: Bermudian bowler LeVinc Samuels has secured his place in the Round of 32 at the International Bowling Federation World Cup in Hong Kong, while, David Maycock also saw action

Samuels, competing in the Men's Singles Group C - Pool 2 Division, delivered a strong performance on Day Two to solidify his position among the top contenders.

He began the day in a tie for 4th place with 1,133 pins and 12 points, having bowled an impressive average of 188.8 pins per game on Day One.

Undeterred by the pressure, Samuels maintained his composure throughout the seven games on Day Two. He consistently found his line and length, culminating in a total of 2,432 pins and an average of 187.1 per game. His standout performance came in Game 6, where he rolled a superb 226.

This impressive display earned Samuels 30 points and secured him a 2nd place finish in his group, guaranteeing his advancement to the Round of 32.

Samuels' success in Hong Kong is a testament to his skill and dedication to the sport. He will now face a new challenge in the knockout stages, where he will be aiming to continue his impressive run and challenge for the World Cup title.

Maycock also bowled but missed out on advancing after finishing 9th in the Men's Singles Group D Pool 1 Division with 2,469 pins after 13 games, he had 18 points, bowling an average of 189.92 over the two days.
