Brewers Prospect Hall Eyes Big League Dream

IslandStats.com
Milwaukee Brewers prospect Adam Hall is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of Major League Baseball, putting in the hard yards at Centrefield Sports (CFS) in London, Ontario, as he prepares for spring training in Arizona.

The former second-round pick of the Baltimore Orioles in 2017, Hall's journey has been far from straightforward. Many anticipated the highly-touted shortstop would have reached the big leagues by now, but a combination of factors have delayed his progress.

"A combination of injuries, bad timing with Covid and restructuring of the minor leagues," Hall reflects. "The Orioles did a great job of drafting, so there was lots of competition there. I didn't play as well as I should have at times. I mean, it's not all excuses, and I need to play better to stay around, and that's just the way it goes.”

After starting last season playing independent ball in Winnipeg, Hall received a lifeline from the Brewers. He quickly found himself in Arizona and then Biloxi, Mississippi, showcasing his skills and determination.

Despite the setbacks, Hall remains upbeat and focused on his development. He's particularly pleased with his defensive progress: "I'm really happy with how I did defensively this year. I played a lot of left field, which [is] not a position I was super familiar with – more center field. That was a change, but I know that the Brewers value that as a metric in their organization. Being able to do that, it's a nice thing to have.”

With spring training just around the corner, Hall is eager to impress the Brewers' coaching staff and make a strong case for a call-up to the majors. His dedication and resilience suggest that his big league dream is still very much alive.
