Bermuda's Christian Ebbin and Cayman Islands' Matheo Capasso teamed up once again to secure a strong podium finish at the Miami Snipe Invitational.
The young sailing duo, competing in the Under 30 fleet, swapped roles for this event with Ebbin taking the helm as skipper after crewing for Capasso during the Orange Bowl regatta. Facing stiff competition from a 36-boat fleet, the pair demonstrated impressive consistency and tactical prowess throughout the six-race series.
Ebbin and Capasso sailed to four top 10 finishes, including a remarkable victory in Race 5. A third-place finish in Race 2 further solidified their position on the leaderboard. Ultimately, they concluded the regatta with 34 net points, earning them an impressive 3rd place overall.
This result highlights the growing strength of this young partnership, with both sailors showcasing their adaptability and talent in different roles. Their performance in Miami will undoubtedly boost their confidence as they continue to develop their skills on the international sailing circuit.
