Bermudian sailor Campbell Patton concluded the Sail Sydney Regatta with a flourish, climbing the leaderboard to secure an impressive fourth-place finish in the highly competitive ILCA 7 fleet.
Patton, on Day 3, delivered a consistent and strong performance across the three races. He began with a solid ninth-place finish in the sixth race of the series, followed by a seventh place in the penultimate race.
However, it was in the final race where Patton truly shone, crossing the line in second place to catapult himself up the overall standings. This impressive finish capped off a regatta where Patton consistently challenged the leaders, finishing within the top five on four occasions, including a victory in the opening race.
His final score of 39 net points placed him firmly amongst the elite sailors in the ILCA 7 class.
This strong result at Sail Sydney will undoubtedly boost Patton's confidence as he continues his season.
