David Bascome’s Baltimore Blast continued their impressive start to the season with a resounding 10-4 victory over Utica City FC at the TU Arena.
The Blast were in devastating form, racing to a 5-0 lead in the first period alone. Bruno Henrique opened the scoring after just three minutes, and the goals continued to flow with Victor Parreiras, Juan Pereira, Wellington Bramusse, and Jesus Pacheco all finding the net in quick succession.
Utica City pulled one back early in the third period through Ronaldinho Diniz, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished as Patrick Thompson restored Baltimore's five-goal advantage.
Thompson and Pereira both added goals in the final period, with Pereira completing his hat-trick. Utica City managed to grab three consolation goals through Sergio Pinal, Nate Bourdeau, and Nilton de Andrade, but the result was never in doubt.
The win moves the Blast to 5-1 on the season, while Utica City will be looking to regroup after a disappointing performance.
