Bermuda Women's National team captain Eva Frazzoni has been recognised for her contributions to AFC Sudbury Women, finishing as a runner-up in the club's Player of the Year award for 2024.

The midfielder, a key figure in the Yellows' campaign, was one of four players shortlisted for the award, alongside Sophie Jeffrey, Jess Allen, and Leonie Bezant. Fans were invited to cast their votes, with Jeffrey ultimately claiming the honour with 42.6% of the vote. Frazzoni and Allen tied for second place with 20.4% each, while Bezant received 16.7%.

Despite missing out on the top spot, Frazzoni's recognition underscores her importance to the AFC Sudbury Women's team. The Bermudian skipper has played a vital role in their impressive season so far, contributing to their strong league position.

Currently, AFC Sudbury Women sit in 5th place in the FA Women's National League, Division One South East standings. They have accumulated 19 points from 10 matches, with a record of five wins, four draws, and just one defeat.

Frazzoni's leadership and performances have been instrumental in the team's success. Her ability to control the midfield and dictate play has earned her the respect of teammates and opponents alike.

While the Player of the Year award went to Jeffrey, Frazzoni's recognition highlights her valuable contributions to AFC Sudbury Women. As the season progresses, she will undoubtedly continue to play a key role in their pursuit of promotion to the FA Women's Championship.
