Leverock & Voyagers Suffer 3rd Defeat in Barbados T10

IslandStats.com
Pelicans Win by 4 Wickets

Voyagers 84/7 Pelicans 89/6

Kamau Leverock and his Voyagers teammates endured a frustrating third consecutive defeat in the Barbados T10 cricket tournament, falling to a 4-wicket loss against the Pelicans at Windward Park in Bridgetown.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, the Voyagers struggled to build a substantial total, posting 84/7 from their allotted 10 overs. Akeem Springer top-scored with 27, while Leverock contributed a quickfire 11 off 7 balls, including two boundaries. Jaden Edmund proved to be the pick of the Pelicans bowlers, claiming impressive figures of 3-18 from his two overs.

In reply, the Pelicans chased down the target with relative ease, reaching 89/6 in just 6.5 overs. Zachary McCaskie led the charge with an unbeaten 29, guiding his team to victory. Ramearo Samuel was the most successful bowler for the Voyagers, taking 3-18 from his two overs.

Despite the loss, Leverock's contribution with the bat provided a bright spark for the Voyagers. His aggressive innings injected some much-needed momentum into the innings, but ultimately the team's total proved insufficient.

This defeat leaves the Voyagers searching for their first win in the tournament. They will need to regroup and address their batting inconsistencies if they are to challenge the top teams in the competition. The Pelicans, on the other hand, will be buoyed by this victory as they look to climb the table.

The Barbados T10 continues to provide exciting and unpredictable action. With several matches still to play, the Voyagers will be hoping to turn their fortunes around and finish the tournament on a positive note.
