Friendship Semi-Final
North Village Rams 1 PHC Zebras 2
PHC Zebras booked their place in the Friendship Trophy final after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over North Village Rams at the Wellington Oval. A tense encounter saw the Zebras emerge victorious thanks to first-half goals from Joshua Joseph and Enrique Russell.
The Zebras took the lead in the 9th minute when Joseph found the back of the net. However, their advantage was short-lived as North Village Rams equalized in the 24th minute through a Jai Bean free-kick. The match remained evenly poised until the 40th minute when Russell restored PHC's lead, ensuring they went into half-time with a 2-1 advantage.
The second half saw both teams create chances, but neither could find the decisive goal. The Zebras defense held firm to protect their slender lead, securing their passage to the final.
PHC Zebras, the reigning Friendship Trophy champions, will now face the winner of the Dandy Town Hornets and Hamilton Parish Semi-Final in the Final on New Year's Day at the Somerset Cricket Club. They will be aiming to secure their third consecutive title in the competition.
