The Warwick Academy High Performance Swim team made a big splash at the 2024 NC QCD Holiday Invite, hosted by the Queen City Dolphins in North Carolina. The twelve-strong squad from Bermuda delivered a string of impressive performances, highlighted by personal best times and strong finishes in finals.
Sofia Leclerc, Jorgia White, Jamie MacFarlane, Jackson Langley, Gianluca Bortoli, Logan Jones, Cameron Duda, Noah Fulton, Gabby Esposito, Elanna Fulton, Zachary Johnson, and Axel Wernbo all represented Warwick Academy with distinction.
The meet saw a flurry of personal bests, demonstrating the swimmers' dedication and hard work. Several swimmers qualified for finals, showcasing their competitive spirit and ability to perform under pressure.
"We're incredibly proud of our swimmers," said Ben Smith, Warwick Academy coach. "They've trained hard all season, and it's fantastic to see them achieve personal bests and compete at such a high level."
The Warwick Academy team's overall performance at the NC QCD Holiday Invite is a testament to their talent and commitment. This experience will undoubtedly serve as a springboard for their future swimming endeavors.
"This meet has been a valuable experience for our swimmers," added Smith. "They've gained valuable race experience and had the opportunity to compete against some of the best swimmers in the region. We're excited to see what they can achieve in the future."
