Bermuda Win by 13 Runs

Bermuda 139/6 Cayman Islands 126/9

Bermuda have been crowned champions of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Americas Qualifier after a thrilling victory over the Cayman Islands in the final match at the St Albans Club, Corimayo Grounds in Argentina.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Bermuda posted a competitive total of 139/6 in their 20 overs. Onias Bascome led the way with an unbeaten 42 off 35 balls, including 2 fours and a six. Captain Terryn Fray provided solid support with a knock of 32. Alistair Ifill was the pick of the Cayman Islands bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 20 runs from his 4 overs.

In reply, the Cayman Islands fought valiantly but ultimately fell short, finishing on 126/9. Romeo Dunka top-scored with 23, but the Bermudian bowlers maintained a tight grip on the scoring rate. Zeko Burgess was the star performer for Bermuda, claiming 3 wickets for 20 runs from his 4 overs to earn the Man of the Match award.

This victory caps off a dominant campaign for Bermuda, who remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. Their disciplined bowling and aggressive batting proved too strong for their opponents, culminating in a well-deserved championship triumph.

Bermuda's players will now celebrate this achievement before turning their attention to the next stage of the T20 World Cup qualifiers. With momentum on their side and a growing sense of belief, they will be aiming to continue their winning streak and secure a place in the global showpiece event.
