Individual Standouts in T20 Regional Qualifiers

With the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Americas Qualifiers nearing its conclusion, www.islandstats.com takes a look at the players who have lit up the tournament with their individual brilliance.

Bermuda players are mixed in the top five of several categories.

Run-scoring Feast

Cayman Islands' Sacha De Alwis Seneveratne leads the run-scoring charts with an impressive 160 runs, closely followed by Bermuda's Tre Manders with 148, and Belize's A Oxley has 125. Panama's Irfan Hafejee has scored 117 runs, and Suriname's Gavin Singh has 115 round out the top five.

Big Hitters

Argentina's Pedro Baron tops the charts for the highest individual score with a blistering 60. Suriname's Xaviee Smith and Brazil's Luiz Muller share second place with unbeaten knocks of 57, while Cayman's Jermaine Baker scored 55 not out and Bahamas' Kervon Hinds scored 53 runs also feature prominently.

Consistency is Key

Suriname's Gavin Singh boasts the highest batting average in the tournament with 57.50, followed by Cayman Island's Sacha De Alwis Seneveratne at 53.33 and Bermuda's Dion Stovell has an average of 47.00. Argentina's Alan Kirschbaum’s average is 45.00 and Alejandro Ferguson’ 43.00 complete the top five.

Wicket-taking Prowess

Bermuda's Kevon Fubler leads the wicket-taking charts with 12 scalps to his name, followed by Bahamas' Festus Benn with 10, and Brazil's Yasar Haroon and Suriname's Arun Gokoel have 9 wickets each. Bermuda's Derrick Brangman with 8 wickets is also amongst the leading wicket-takers.

Bowling Masterclass

Mexico's Shoaib Rafiq produced the most impressive bowling figures of the tournament, claiming 5 wickets for just 12 runs. Brazil's Yasar Haroon also boasts a five-wicket haul with 5 for 16, while Mexico's Pradeep Mohanarangam finished with 4 for 15 and Brazil's Richard Avery claimed 4 for 20 and Kawsar Khan had figures of 4 for 28 have also impressed.

Efficiency with the Ball

Bermuda's Kevon Fubler’ 4.33 and Derrick Brangman’s 5.25 lead the way in terms of bowling average, showcasing their remarkable efficiency. Bahamas' Festus Benn has an average of 6.90, Argentina's Lucas Rossi’s average of 7.00 and Suriname's Vishwar Shaw average of 8.00 complete the top five.
