The Optimist World Championships continued in Argentina, with Mar del Plata living up to its reputation for demanding sailing conditions. A light breeze, but strong currents tested the skills of 255 young sailors from 51 countries, including a contingent from Bermuda.
Nina Gotfredsen continues to lead the Bermudian fleet after nine races, Gotfredsen dropped 11 places from 90th place to her current place of 101st overall with 254 Net Points.
Miguel Powers is currently in 110th place down 4 places with 269 Net Points, Evan Davis occupies 186th position moving down one place with 371 Net Points, followed by Rory Savage who fell 2 places to 191st with 394 Net Points, and Noah Amaradasa moved down 8 places to 212th with 468 Net Points.
