Bermuda's Elijah Daley took to the pool at the World Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships in Budapest, competing in the Men's 200m Butterfly.
Daley, making his first appearance at the championships, finished 5th in Heat 2 with a time of 2:00.08. This placed him 35th overall in a highly competitive field.
While Daley didn't advance to the Semi-Finals, gaining experience at this level of competition will be invaluable for the young Bermudian swimmer. The World Short Course Championships provide an opportunity for emerging talent to test themselves against the best in the world.
Daley will be looking to build on this performance as he competes in the Men’s 100m Butterfly tomorrow.
