As the International Beach Volleyball 2024 calendar comes to a close, the Bermuda Volleyball Association (BVA) announces its participation in the final NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour Stop of the year. The event takes place this week, in Costa Rica. The NORCECA Beach Tour is the Premier Beach Volleyball tour for the North American, Central American, and Caribbean zone, marking the final tour stop of 2024.
The event will feature the Men’s Pairing of Kyle Hamilton and Sean Tucker. Participating countries in these events include the United States, Canada, Barbados, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, US Virgin Islands, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Mexico.
Co-President Brandon Sousa shared, “Our athletes have dedicated themselves to consistent growth and improvement throughout the year, and it’s inspiring to see their hard work pay off with their participation on such a prominent stage. Competing in the NORCECA Tour Stops provides invaluable experience, allowing them to test their skills against some of the strongest teams in our region while proudly representing Bermuda on the international scene.
Their resilience and accomplishments have laid a solid foundation for the continued expansion of our beach volleyball program. With their determination and drive, I am confident Bermuda’s beach volleyball athletes will further elevate Bermuda’s presence in the sport and set the tone for future generations."
As we look ahead to 2025, we are eager to build on the momentum of the 2024 season and expand Bermuda Beach Volleyball to even greater heights. The upcoming year promises to be an exciting chapter with more opportunities for development, competition, and showcasing the talent of Bermuda’s athletes on the international stage.”
The senior team of Hamilton and Tucker kicks off their competition tomorrow morning, December 6th, with Pool Play.
