Cloutier and Scatteraction Capture Championship Title

Mark Cloutier and his crew aboard Scatteraction sailed to victory in the Bermuda Keelboat National 2024 J105 Fleet Championships, conquering the challenging conditions of the Great Sound to claim the title.
The five-race series tested the sailors' skills across a range of wind and wave conditions. Cloutier and his team demonstrated remarkable consistency, finishing second in the first three races before turning on the afterburners to win the final two races. This impressive performance earned them a total of 8 points and the coveted championship trophy.
James MacDonald and his crew onboard Passion put up a strong fight, finishing second overall with 11 points. They started the regatta with back-to-back third-place finishes, followed by a victory in the third race. Passion closed out the series with two second-place finishes, showcasing their competitive spirit.
Kelsey Durham and Mike Neff, sailing Yabsta, got off to a flying start, winning the first two races of the series. However, a fourth-place finish in the third race put them on the back foot. Despite strong finishes in the final two races (third in both), they couldn't quite catch the leaders, finishing third overall with 12 points.
Keith Chiappa and the crew of Windfire rounded out the fleet, finishing with 19 points. They showed consistency throughout the series, with four fourth-place finishes and a third-place finish.
The J105 Fleet Championships delivered exciting racing action and showcased the skill and determination of Bermuda's sailing community. With Cloutier and Scatteraction crowned champions, the stage is set for another thrilling season of keelboat racing in the Great Sound.
