Conor White IslandStats.com Race Three of the One Communications MTB Series presented by Fat Tire Massive delivered high-octane action at Lagoon Park, with National Mountain Bike champion Robin Horsefield and Charlotte Millington emerging victorious in their respective Divisions.
The Open 60 Male Division saw a thrilling battle between Horsefield and road racing specialist Conor White, who swapped his skinny tires for some knobby treads. Horsefield, showcasing his mountain biking prowess, completed 10 laps in a winning time of 1:06:33. White, proving his versatility, pushed Horsefield to the limit, finishing just behind with a nine-lap time of 1:03:43. Jackson Langley rounded out the podium with a nine-lap time of 1:08:15.
In the Open 60 Female Division, Charlotte Millington dominated the competition, completing seven laps in a winning time of 1:04:37. Jennifer Wilson secured second place, also completing seven laps with a time of 1:07:39. Wendy-Ann Thomas finished third, clocking a six-lap time of 1:00:41.
The Open 30 Male Division saw a tight race for the top spot, with Ray Richardson ultimately holding off all challengers to claim victory with a four-lap time of 35:49. Kareem Johnson finished a close second, also completing four laps in 36:01. Howard Williams rounded out the podium with a four-lap time of 36:07.
Zina Jones was the sole competitor in the Open 30 Female division, completing three laps in a time of 32:39.
